Two weeks until the Mercer Island Half Marathon!

A friend of mine talked me into the M.I. half (, and I am very thankful that she did because training for it has been tons of fun. I have been using Hal Higdon’ novice training schedule for the event:

I was pretty good about keeping up with the running, but I punted on most of the strength training. I think that will be my goal for the See Jane Run half in June (to incorporate the strength component). I welcome people’s thoughts on this issue (unless your thoughts are hateful or negative without redeeming helpfulness)…
